At Isle of Rum General Store we offer a diverse range of products to cater to residents and to visitors to the island. The shop is at the heart of island life and features all the basic essentials for daily living, exploring the island as well as plenty of luxury items sourced locally where possible.
We offer fresh fruit and vegetables all year round and quality butcher meat, including local Rum venison when it is available, as well as offering a wide range of frozen, chilled and dry food. We offer takeaway hot drinks and snacks, a range of books, gifts and souvenirs. We always have a wide selection of sweet treats, ice cream and soft and alcoholic drinks.
Whether you're preparing for an adventure, or seeking everyday essentials, we try cater to the island lifestyle with charm and enthusiasm :)

Satisfy your cravings with our assortment of tasty snacks, hot fries or delicious hot soup. From savoury sandwiches to sweet treats and cakes, we have the perfect accompaniments for your coffee or tea break or after a long day exploring the island.
Pre - Orders
We aim to provide variety and choice as part of our well stocked island shop. We encourage people visiting the island to shop here normally with confidence but for larger groups we recommend getting in touch, especially at quieter times of year so we can provide everything you need for your visit.
Pre-orders can also be made for large fruit and vegetable orders or for fresh meat; in particular bulk orders, steaks, roasting joints, haggis or vegan haggis. We always have a supply of fresh fruit and vegetables and fresh and frozen meat (such as burgers, chicken, mince, bacon and sausages) available in the shop.
